Flora spotting

Indulge us in a little botanical fantasy – spring has sprung and it’s nice to see lots of flowers out in Melbourne. Nobody at O.W.L. has a garden, so we tend to go a little hog wild making the most of others’ gardens as we roam the streets in search of blooms. In Fitzroy North the pickings are good, and bottle-brush and lilly-pilly trees line most streets. A couple of blocks away, East Brunswick has a plethora of fruit trees and lots of neat concreted yards, thanks to the resident nonnas and nonnos.
